This Privacy Policy explains how KnowledgeSpark (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects your information when you use knowledgespark.in, including our courses, mock tests, webinars, internships and placement features (the “Platform”).
Account information — name, email, phone number, and (for instructors and recruiters) profile details such as headline, organization and job title.
Learning data— courses you enroll in, lesson progress, quiz attempts and scores, assignment submissions and any files you upload for them, certificates issued, and Q&A/review activity.
Payment information — order and subscription history. Card, UPI and bank details are collected and processed directly by our payment partner, Razorpay; we do not store them on our servers.
Career/placement information — resume, skills and other profile details you choose to add, if you opt in to being discoverable by recruiters.
Usage & device data — log data such as IP address and browser type, used for security (e.g. rate-limiting) and to keep the Platform reliable.
We use a secure, HTTP-only cookie to keep you signed in (used only to renew your session — it is not readable by page scripts or shared with third parties for advertising). Your browser’s local storage may also be used to remember preferences such as light/dark theme. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
If you’re a student, you can choose whether your profile is discoverable by recruiters with an active membership on the Platform. When enabled, recruiters may view your profile, and — subject to their plan — your contact details and resume. You can see a log of when a recruiter viewed your profile, revealed your contact details, or downloaded your resume from your account’s Recruiters Visibility page at any time, and can turn visibility off from your account settings.
We share information only where necessary to run the Platform:
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
We retain account and learning data for as long as your account is active, so you retain access to your course history, certificates and progress. If you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal information except where we are required to retain records (for example, payment/order records for tax and accounting purposes).
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to respond quickly to any issue.
You can review and update most of your account information from your profile/settings page at any time. To request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or request deletion of your account, contact us at info@knowledgespark.in.
The Platform is intended for learners who are at least 16 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
